How to Become a Member
Membership of all Lions Clubs is by invitation. However, if you feel you could devote a little of your time to the kind of activities described in these pages, we would like to hear from you and make you welcome at one of our meetings.
If, having attended several of our meetings, at least one of our social functions and, helped out at at least one of our events, you feel that you would like to be a part of our organisation, we will ask two questions:
- We will ask you, whether you feel that you have something to give us, from which the club will benefit, and, whether you can work (and play) in harmony with our existing members to benefit our local community and, the wider world.
- We will ask our members whether they feel the club can benefit from your membership and whether they can work (and play) in harmony with you to benefit our local community and, the wider world.
If the answer to both questions is yes, you will be invited to join our great Association and, we feel sure you will derive a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment in working with us to make the world a better place to live.
No matter how community minded you may be, remember the words of Hellen Keller to the Lions Clubs International Convention in 1925, "Alone we can do so little, together we can achieve so much".
